10Pot Echoes

Unlikely Armor Options

Early on, Zelda can obtain Echoes of various pots, with theHyrule Castle Pot Echoobtained at thevery beginningof the game. These pots are usually used to help Zelda be more stealthy. You canclimb inside and sneak past guardsor enemies, hiding inside if you’re about to be spotted.

However,as PhillyBeatzU shows in his video, pots also have the unique ability to protect you from Redeads. Like other entries in theLegend of Zeldafranchise,Redeads screamwhen spotting you, causing you tofreeze in place. However, while in a pot, this effect doesn’t occur. Instead, you can continue to walk pastthem and use other Echoes to attack, or just bypass them entirely.

The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom - Gerudo Sanctum Walkthrough

Finding your way through the Gerudo Sanctum Dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom can be a daunting task if you do not know the way.

However, as long asTri has enough levels, you’re able to spawnmore than one tileat a time. By spawning one tile, then another, and jumping to the second tile, you canchain together multiple tiles to climb virtually infinitely into the sky.

There isno fall damagein the game, so don’t worry about missing a tile and falling a long distance.

The usefulness of this technique is somewhat limited, asyou do not have much control over which direction you’re heading. Regardless, it can still be an effective way to quickly ascend a long cliff or path.

8Wind Cannon Echo

Extra Boost For Running & Swimming

TheWind Cannon Echois found in a cave in theGerudo Desert, and is normally used to push around enemies or other echoes. However, you can set up a Wind Cannon and then repeatedly drop a damaging Echo into the wind, like aBuzz Blob or Ignizol, to ‘fire’ them at enemies.

The most effective use, though, is to propel Zelda across Hyrule, both on land and while swimming. By summoning the Wind Cannon and binding to it, you can head in the direction the cannon is facing toreceive a significant speed boost. Just drop and re-bind the cannon if you need to change directions.

7Crow Echo

Farming Rupees & Flying High

Crowsare an Echo that can be found early on, just to theEast of Hyrule Castle. These inexpensive birds can be summoned to attack enemies, dropping Rupees with each attack. If combined with theSilver and/or Gold Brooch, the rate of Rupees dropped will increase even further.

However, Crows can also beused to fly or glideacross Hyrule using two different methods. For the first method, you’ll need to summon a Crow and bind it to you, thensummon a Meat Echoand pick it up. Then, switch to the Reverse Bindto bind Zelda to the Crow, and the Crow will now take flight. This methodonly allows gliding at a single height, but can be very useful if starting from a high cliff.

Other bird echoescan be used for the flying and gliding methods, butCrows are the earliest and cheapestto use.

The second method requires summoning two Crows, and can be a bit hard to follow. This YouTube video by umbrashows a great example of how to pull it off. First, you’ll need tosummon a Crow and bind to it. Then, summon a second Crowand grab onto it.

Switch to theReverse Bind, which will lift Zelda into the air.Swap back to bind, and you’ll glide forward in the direction you face.Alternate between the two bindsto periodically gain height and soar forwards.

6Ball And Chain Trooper Echo

Harnessing The Power Of The Flail

TheBall and Chain Trooper Echois an overall powerful, offensive Echo that can be used todefeat normal enemies and bosses. It can be obtained from theHyrule Castle Dungeon. Once summoned, the Trooper will walk around swinging his flail, and will deal decent damage to enemies.

Not only this, but the Trooper willextend his flailto reach distant enemies. He alsoresists being staggereddue to his armor. The best method of using him is to summon him, thenbind to him, moving him around the battlefieldinto enemies you want to defeat.

5Sea Urchin Echo

Multiple Uses For Massive Damage

TheSea Urchin Echocan be obtained by defeating one atSuthorn Beach, and can be used in many different offensive ways. Besides just dropping them onto enemies, you can alsobind to themand simplywalk into enemiesto deal damage.

Besides this, you can again use theWind Cannon Echoto face enemies anddrop multiple Sea Urchin Echoesinto the wind, blowing them toward an enemy. Lastly, you can simplymake a prison of Sea Urchinsby arranging four together, with a space in the middle.Bind to an enemyand move them into the center, wherethey’ll be trapped and eventually diefrom running into the Urchins repeatedly.

4Deku Baba Echoes

Automated Offensive

TheDeku Baba Echoescan be placed on the ground to automatically attack enemies. There areseveral different levelsof Deku Baba that can be found across Hyrule, and each one works with these methods. Besides placing them on the ground, you can alsoattach them to moveable objects, like a Table or Boulder Echo, to control where they attack.

Keep in mind that some Echoes, like the Table, can be broken by enemies. Using a sturdier Echo, like a Rock or Boulder, is recommended.

You can also place them on moveable objects, such as the Pathblade, that heads in a line towards the nearest enemy. However, the best combination for the Deku Baba is toplace them on a Tweelus. Not only do these baby Taluses move towards enemies, but theyalso attack them directly. Combining these two Echoes creates apowerful autonomous turretthat chases down enemies and attacks them in two different ways at once.

3Water Block Echo

Extremely Versatile & Surprisingly Deadly

TheWater Block Echois one of the most useful Echoes in the game, and acompelling argument to complete Jabul Waters first, before the Gerudo Desert. On the surface, the Water Block can be used tosolve numerous puzzles and reach platformsthat are otherwise too high. It can also be used in a pinch to escape from enemies by quickly hopping over obstacles.

However, the most surprising mechanic is thatmany basic enemies can be drownedby using a Water Block. Simply place a Block andbind to an enemy, thencarry the enemy into the water. If they can drown, they will begin to struggle, and will quickly perish. It’s ashockingly effective methodof defeating even strong enemies.

2Any Bed Echo

Plenty Of Healing, Puzzle Solving & Flying

From the moment you obtain aBed Echoin the game, you’ll be using it to solve just about any puzzle that requires climbing or crossing gaps. As an additional effect, beds can also be used torecover heartswithout smoothies or potions.

You can heal even faster by lying down, and thenstanding up as soon as you gain a heart. Lay back down, and stand up again, repeating this until your hearts are full.Zelda’s Bedprovides the maximum healing rate of any other bed.

Wearing the Silk Pajamas while restingmakes hearts recoverfaster than the standing up method. You can simply lay down and rest, instead.

There is a unique interaction when using a Bed with aTornando Echo, though. By standing on the side of the bed in the direction you want to go, you cansummon a Tornandoon the opposite side tolaunch your bed onwards and upwardsin that direction. Continue to drop Tornandos opposite the direction of your choosing, and you’ll soarextremely high.PhillyBeatzU’s video shows this clearly, for reference.

1Zirro Echo

Overwhelming Damage Against Enemies & Bosses

The most powerful offensive Echo is theZirro Echo, which can be obtained in theElden Volcano region. This Echo seems straightforward at first, as you simply summon one of these flying creatures, and they’ll throw bombs at your enemies. Thankfully, these bombsdo not damage Zelda.

The real trick, though, is that Zirros will throw a bombas soon as they are summoned. Because of this, you cansummon them constantly, with the first Zirro despawning when you reach the maximum.Summon them repeatedly, and you’ll bombard your enemies withendless, powerful explosionsfrom their bombs. This method can trivialize many of the bosses thatThe Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdomthrows at you, and makes some of them a walk in the park.
