If you want to use a legal streaming service that offers a wide choice of movies and TV shows, you’ll most likely have to pay a monthly or annual fee. Because of this, many people have chosen to share their streaming passwords with friends and family so that multiple households can use one account.
Streaming companies have caught on to this, with giants like Netflix and Disney+ banning password sharing. But worry not, there are still plenty of great streaming platforms that still allow you to share your account with others.

1. Max (formerly HBOMax)
Max, the hugely popular streaming serviceformerly known as HBO Max, hasn’t yet followed Netflix and Disney+ in password restrictions. However, it does state on the company website that users shouldn’t share their password with those outside of their household.
If you’re not particularly bothered by this advice, there’s nothing stopping you from sharing your Max password with friends and family.

Note that you cannot access Max if you live outside the United States or South America.
2. Paramount+
We’ve all watched Paramount movies, but the production giant released its own streaming service, Paramount+, in 2021. From 2024 onward, Paramount+ will be the main platform for all Paramount movies, including global favorites like Titanic, Deep Impact, the Shrek series, and much more.
3. Shudder
If you’re big into horror, be it gore, suspense, paranormal, or pretty much anything else,Shudder is the streaming platform for you. This service is catered towards horror lovers, with a huge selection of new and classic blood-chilling movies and TV shows.
You can easily share your Shudder account password with friends and family, regardless of if you live in the same household as them. Though the streaming service advises against password sharing, it has yet to place physical barriers on doing so. Until Shudder enforces password-sharing restrictions, you’re free to let anyone use your account.

4. Apple TV+
Apple TV has been around for some time, but the Apple TV+ streaming platform only came about in late 2019. You can catch some great movies and TV series using this service, including Tetris, The Morning Show, Hijack, Silo, and much more.
In terms of password sharing, you can do so with your Apple TV+ account, but there are risks to consider here. Your Apple TV+ login is the same as your Apple ID login, so you’ll need to verify you can fully trust whoever you share your credentials with. You can stream from six separate profiles at the same time, meaning six people can use your account simultaneously without any restrictions.

Hulu is a beloved streaming serviceand offers both movies and TV shows from all genres. At the time of writing, Hulu is streaming some top-tier films, including The Grand Budapest Hotel, The Banshees of Inisherin, and Akira. The platform also broadcasts its own original content, such as Saint X, Fresh, and No One Will Save You.
If you want to share your Hulu account with others, you can do so without any pushback from the platform itself. Hulu has no restrictions around password sharing, and lets you create five separate profiles per subscription account.

If you’re a fan of indie movies, Mubi could be your perfect match. This streaming platform has a focus on art-house and independent films from lesser-known directors. In other words, you won’t find blockbusters and multi-billion dollar movies on this platform. This is definitely for those looking for unique works above all else.
Password sharing on Mubi is allowed, but the company limits this to five people. Of course, you can have multiple people using one profile, but you’ll only be able to add five profiles to each account. Note that only two users can simultaneously stream content on Mubi, which can be a limiting.
7. Amazon Prime
Amazon Prime Video has been a popular option for streaming customers for years. With a wide range of beloved movies and TV shows, as well as its own set of Amazon-produced content such as Good Omens and the Lord of the Rings series, it’s no surprise that Prime Video is still a key player in the streaming game.
When it comes to password sharing, Prime Video does things a little differently. Because your Prime Video account is linked to your Prime shopping account, it’s risky to give anyone access via your credentials.
Instead, you’re able to use the Prime invite feature to invite friends and family to your Prime account, allowing them to enjoy Prime Video content without having access to your login details.
However, this feature only works per household. You can link your account to another house member to share Prime benefits, but you must confirm that you are sharing the payments for the subscription.
You can share your Prime Video account with users outside your home, but verify you trust them entirely with your details.
If you have friends with their own Amazon Prime Video account but want to watch a movie along with them from another location, you may usePrime’s Watch Party featureto watch as a group.
8. Peacock
Peacock, NBC’s streaming service, isn’t the most popular streaming platform out there, but is nonetheless a viable option. Peacock has some great TV shows, such as Yellowstone and Twisted Metal, and also hosts a range of popular movies, like Step Brothers, Jurassic Park, and Inside Man.
you’re able to share your Peacock account password with people outside your household, though the streaming service advises against doing so. For now, Peacock hasn’t enforced this rule with restrictions, so you’re free to share your password with whomever you please.
While we continue to see more major streaming platforms crack down on password sharing, the majority of notable choices still don’t enforce any restrictions here. Disney+ and Netflix may now be a no-go for password sharing, but you can still stream plenty of content while sharing your account on other platforms. For now, password sharing lives on.
