The team goes on to state that it’s still in the process of figuring out how the error occurred and hastherefore opted to push the Closed Beta back to later in the week. That may be disappointing for those who gained access to the beta build, but Larian promised that the wait would be worth it by further breaking down all the improvements included in Patch 7.

Patch 7 is also reworking local multiplayer by including a dynamic split-screen optionthat will allow players to venture their own ways and then return to one another with little fuss or confusion. Several new animations for camp followers and companions should help bring the party to life and several dialogues have been smoothed to flow smoother. Finally,Patch 7 also includes over 1,000 individual bug fixesso the game should look even more polished than it already was at launch.

Baldur’s Gate 3continues to deliver quality gameplay to its community and while Larian Studios has stated on several occasions that it hasno plan to release DLC or expansions,it’s good to know that the team is still committed to the game. Patch 7 won’t be the last update for the game but the developer has yet to provide any insight into what’s next for its post-launch support.
