In the heat of battle,Lae’zel grabbed Bing Bong and threw him at a boss encounter, killing him in the process. A tragic moment that will be forever immortalized by robogena thanks to its careful and hilarious implementation in the “Better Bing Bong” mod.
While Bing Bong may officially appear inBaldur’s Gate 3, Larian Studios at least understood how much the game’s player base came to adore the imp. In a post-launch update, the team patched in a brief interaction between Lae’zel and Shadowheart where the Cleric recalls Bing Bong’s death, officially making the creature canon. Since that’s the case, it onlymakes sense to install “Better Bing Bong,“as long as players just treat the summon as a temporary resurrection.
