A power bank can be a hassle to bring around, especially the high-powered ones designed to recharge laptops. They’re heavy and bulky, so they tend to leave a bulge in your otherwise sleek laptop bag.
Baseus saw this problem, so it created theBlade 2 65W Power Bank. This smart power bank would neatly fit your laptop sleeve while delivering enough power for a few extra hours to your computer.

Baseus Blade 2 65W Power Bank
The Baseus Blade 2 is a thin and light power bank built for laptops. It has a 65-watt output and holds 12,000mAh or 46.44Wh of charge.
A Powerbank in Your Laptop Sleeve
The Baseus Blade 2 measures 16.4 x 13.4 x 1.1cm (6.5 x 5.3 x 0.4in), about the size of a B6 notebook. It also weighs just 323.4g or 11.4oz, or about one and a half iPhone 15 Pro Maxes. These dimensions make it an incredibly lightweight power bank, especially for its rated capacity of 12,000mAh or 46.44Wh.
The power bank has a hard plastic shell with a smooth satin finish, which delivers a premium feel and somehow reduces (but not eliminates) fingerprints. Baseus provided me with a blue Blade 2 review unit. However, you’re able to also get it in silver or orange, so you can choose one that fits your taste and style.

You also get an approximately one-inch square full LED display at the front of the Blade 2. This screen displays different information, like the remaining battery power, the time before the power bank is fully drained or fully charged, its current mode, the voltage and ampere levels going through a port, and if it’s connected to a Bluetooth device.
Simple Packaging Is All You Need
The Blade 2 comes in a premium box showing its capacity and high power output. But inside, all you get is the power bank itself, a felt bag, and a USB-C charging cable. You also get the usual Baseus stickers that come with every Baseus item, a warranty card, and the user manual.
Although the felt bag might feel simple, especially as it does not have a zipper or button to secure it, it’s more than enough to prevent dings and scratches to the Blade 2 power bank. But, more importantly, it also prevents the device from scratching your computer, especially if you slide it in with your laptop in its sleeve.

Two-Port Power
you’re able to charge your devices relatively quickly with the Blade 2, as it can output 65W on either of its USB-C ports. However, if you’re using both ports, you’ll only get 45 watts on USB-C1 and 20 watts on USB-C2. Nevertheless, this should be enough to simultaneously top up two devices (like your smartphone and earbuds).
However, if you want to get the most power, you should limit your usage to one device at a time. Nevertheless, the Blade 2 has a passthrough charging feature, allowing you to simultaneously charge the power bank and your laptop. When you do this, the power output is limited to 18 watts, while the Blade 2 recharges at 30 watts.

One More Day of Power
The Blade 2 power bank is rated for 46.44Wh with an efficiency rating of 75%. Given that an M2 MacBook Air 15 has a 52.6Wh battery, you should be able to charge it to at least 66% from flat empty. This should equate to at least nine extra hours of light use, giving the laptop an additional day of use.
When the power bank charges at its maximum output, you can empty it in less than 45 minutes. From empty, it will take about 42 minutes to get it back to 100% charge level while charging at 60 watts. Its discharge and recharging rates are fast enough that you don’t have to worry about stopping work while your laptop replenishes its battery.

Besides, you may recharge your computer while you’re using it. After all, you can easily place the Blade 2 power bank anywhere while delivering power to your PC or Mac, as long as it has ample ventilation.
Bluetooth Connectivity
The Blade 2’s most interesting feature is its Bluetooth connectivity. This is the first time I reviewed or even held a power bank connecting to my phone, and it’s not a gimmick, either. You can install the Baseus app forAndroidoriPhone, then add the Baseus Blade 2 to check its status.
While you can see the remaining time and battery level on the app, you can also see the battery’s current temperature—something you cannot see on the Blade 2’s LED screen. You can also change the screen’s theme to match the color of the power bank and even change the screensaver text.
Most importantly, you may set timers on the app. TheTimingbutton reminds you so you can check the power bank after the time you set; while theShutdown countdownbutton will turn off the power bank.
Finally, you can also turn onLow current mode, which will keep the power bank on for up to four hours, even if your laptop or smartphone is fully charged. This function allows trickle charging, keeping your devices fully charged even for as long as possible.
Should You Buy the Baseus Blade 2 Power Bank?
TheBaseus Blade 2proves you can have a premium and sleek power bank to recharge your laptop even if you’re nowhere near an outlet. While it doesn’t have the large charge capacity of 20,000mAh power banks, it will still extend your laptop’s life substantially so that you can get an extra working day.
But its most important feature is its thin and light form factor. Because of its shape and lightness, you may easily carry it around without adding bulk and weight to your everyday office bag or laptop sleeve. With the Baseus Blade 2, a backup battery bank in your bag is no longer a hassle and a burden.
