The only time the player will encounter an Animagus in combat is when they face the enemy Ashwinders, as some of them have the ability to turn into animals.
There is a transfiguration spell players can learn called Transform. This is taught to the player by Professor Weasley, who is the Transfiguration professor inHogwarts Legacy. However, this only allows players to turn enemies and objects into other things, much like how Ron turns Scabbers into a cup inHarry Potter.
