Summary
Three years since its initial announcement, Team Folon’s massiveFallout 4conversion mod,Fallout: London, is finally available to downloadand play on PC following a surprise announcement on July 25. As its name would suggest,Fallout: Londonmoves the post-apocalyptic franchise to England, showing how another part of the world is coping after the bombs fell, featuring an entirely new storyline with new factions and quests, complete with a full voice cast comprised of notable British talent to bring these new characters to life.
Fallout: Londonhas seven factions steeped in British culture, with some notable ones being the British WW1-type soldiers called Tommies, the Knights of Camelot, and thePeaky Blinders-esque Vagabonds.

Fallout: Londonis practically its own game with all the content that it includes, andin terms of its map, it is almost as big asFallout 4itself.Therefore, while fans wait patiently for a new officialFallouttitle from Bethesda, this is the closest they’ll get to major new content, and is something that likely won’t show up in the main series any time soon, as Bethesda Executive Producer Todd Howard previously stated that he has no official plans to set futureFalloutgames outside of the U.S.
10 Biggest Fallout: London Changes & Differences
Fallout: London is a total conversion mod that has changed almost everything in Fallout 4 to give players the closest thing they can get to a sequel.
Fallout: London Isn’t A Standalone Release
It Requires Fallout 4 To Play
Unfortunately, whileFallout: Londondoes seem like practically a new game in terms of its scope and content, and is free to download, it does still requireFallout 4to play, as it is a mod. Currently,Fallout: Londonis available on PC via GOG and Steam copies ofFallout 4that have beenrolled back to an older version. This can be done automatically via GOG’s custom launcher or by manually downgrading to version 1.10.163.0 on Steam.
It is not playable withcopies purchased through the Epic Games Storedue to the launcher not supporting update rollbacks, although Team Folon has stated its intent to bringFallout: Londonto the “Next Gen” version ofFallout 4at some point, which will likely work with Epic Games Store. According to the officialFallout: LondonFAQs,there areno plans to bring it to consoles, however.

ConsideringFallout 4is a nine-year-old title, it is often heavily discounted and can be found in sales, andto celebrateFallout: London’s launch,GOGhasFallout 4: Game of the Year Editionfor a major discount for a limited time, which includes the main game and all of its official DLC packs. Therefore, the price of entry for those wanting to jump straight intoFallout: Londonisn’t too high for those who don’t already ownFallout 4.
