Destiny 2’s most recent raid,Salvation’s Edge, has 10 unique Triumph challenges that add complexity to each raid encounter. There are two challenges per encounter, but they do not have to be completed at the same time,so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Finishing all 10 challenges will increase your drop chances for the raid Exotic;the Euphony rifle is a powerful toolto add to any arsenal.

In between completing the mechanics of the raid encounters, players will also have to keep in mind the arbitrary requirements that the challenges impose. If the triumph is failed, a small notification will pop up in the left corner of the screen and the encounter will need to be restarted.Understanding how each challenge works is key to completing them successfully and keeping your fireteam coordinated.

Destiny 2: How To Get Relativism Exotic Hunter Cloak (God Roll & Best Perks)

Weekly?

No

There are two challenges in the first encounter of Salvation’s Edge, “Substratum.” The first, which is always available, is called “Touch and Go.” This challenge dictates thateach player must have one stack of Resonance before another is picked up by any other player.

While this seems simple at the outset, balancing the pinging between plates and making sure everyone gets Resonance is trickier than you’d think. The best way to complete this challenge is by keeping the plate players in their rooms, while the runners (non-plate players) pick up Resonance in the middle. After the first round of bouncing energy between plates, everyone should have had a chance to pick up one.

Immediately after the energy has bounced away, plate players should run around their room to find their Resonance ASAP,as they’ll need to return to their plate to send it back. If necessary, communicate to your team whether or not you’ve gotten yours, so the runners know whether to pick up the Resonance spawning in the center.Once everyone has hit two Resonance, you’re free to pick up another at your leisure.

The second challenge in Substratumrequires players to open every door in the arena in the running phase of the encounter. This challenge, “Scenic Route,” is weekly, meaning you’ll have to wait for the rotation to come around to finish it, but it’s not too tricky. Pay attention to the Overload champions and communicate with the other running team to finish it in no time.

In order to complete this challenge, the team that gets their Overload on their path first cannot kill it.Instead, they should only kill the Hydra that spawns in the room to open the other team’s door. The second group to get their Overload should kill it, and this will force all the doors possible to open. Repeat this throughout the rest of the raid encounter, complete the rest as normal, and finish it to gain challenge completion.

Dissipation arena in Salvation’s Edge Raid in Destiny 2

Dissipation is the second encounter in the Salvation’s Edge Raid. The non-weekly challenge, “Changing Tactics,” requires thatthe players responsible for “closing” the conductors pick up Resonance from other wings before closing. The best way to do this is to bounce the energy between plates on your “home” wing four times total, then let the energy “fizzle” out.

Sending player bounces energy.

Conductor player bounces energy again.

Sending player lets the energy “fizzle” out by not stepping on the plate.

After the fizzle, and after the “called” players enter the arena, communicate with the other wings to learn what the wing to your left needs to bank. Then, the “conductor” player shouldpick up the Resonance that the wing to their left needsbeforegoing to that wing, banking, and closing the conductor like normal. This way, there’s no confusion as to who is going where, and you should be able to finish the challenge.

The second challenge for Dissipation is thatyou can only bank into the Resonance box if you have three stacks of Resonance. If a player with one or two stacks dunks, the triumph will immediately fail, and you’ll need to start again. To coordinate the completion of this challenge, the Conductor players should only grab one Resonanceneeded to close the Conductor while the Sending players should grab all three of their specific Resonance.

Conductor players will lose their Resonance when they close the Conductor, butthe box only takes nine stacks of Resonance to add max time to your “Final Shape Looming” timer. As long as all three Sending players pick up three Resonance and bank it all, you’ll end up with plenty of time to finish the encounter. You’ll get 150 seconds, which is more than enough to run it again.

The Witness in the Salvation’s Edge encounter Zenith

“Single Torment” is pretty simple, but can tangle up an already complicated encounter. For this challenge, only one player may kill Tormentors for the entire encounter. The fireteam can help to weaken it, but the player must get the killing blow. If players are struggling with melting Tormentors, try out theExotic Heavy Trace Rifle Microcosm.

This also means thatthe Tormentor-killing player will be the only one able to read the Conductors, and will have to call out what Resonance each Conductor will need to be closed.Once enough Resonance has been collected, this player should run to each Conductor to read out what Resonance goes where. As long as only one player is killing the Tormentors, the challenge will be completed alongside the encounter.

The weekly challenge for Repository, “Balanced Diet,” is just as simple but no less difficult than the previous one. For “Balanced Diet,“no player may pick up the same Resonance type twice in a row. This restriction also carries over between rooms, so remember the last symbol you picked up as you head to rooms two and three.

The best way to complete this triumph while also ensuring each player has the Resonance type needed to closeeach Conductor istopick up one of each Resonance type, ending with the one needed for your Conductor. For example, if you need square to close your Conductor, pick up circle and triangle in any order, then end with square so you can complete the mechanic. This means that there will be plenty of types of Resonance for other players to pick up, leaving enough for each player to have the type they need.

“Equal Distribution” is the always-active challenge for the Verity encounter of Salvation’s Edge, and requires a lot of communication between every player. To complete this challenge, your fireteam cannot deposit a shape into the same statue twice in a row. This includes between phases.

The challenge also includes the “inside” or solo players. So, if an inside player dunks in the left statue to send a shape, and then an outside player dunks in the left statue to dissect a shape, the triumph will fail. To circumvent this issue, allow the solo players to complete their shape swaps before the dissection player(s) create the 3D shapes.

Both the dissection team and the inside players need to pay attention for the weekly “Varied Geometry” triumph. For each round of dissection, you cannot use the same 3D shapes to allow the “inside” players out as the round before. So if you use cone, cylinder, pyramid for round one, you may’t use any of these shapes in round two.

To complete this challenge, you should only use “simple” shapes in round two.As long as you do this in round two, you’re able to play rounds one and three the same. This will require some coordination between the inside and outside players:

Instruction

Inside

In round two, once you’ve got two of the same symbol, offload both of these symbols to the player statue to your statue’s left. If you’re the leftmost statue, you’ll give the shapes to the rightmost statue. This ensures that you end up with two of the same basic shape that is not your statues' shape. Complete the rest of the encounter as normal.

Dissection

Also in round two, you’ll need to create “pure” shapes to allow players to escape. If the inside players' shapes are Square, Circle, Triangle, you’ll need to create Sphere or Pyramid, Pyramid or Cube, and Sphere or Cube for those statues respectively. Listen to what shapes the inside players have to figure out which ones you should make.

If you’re still confused about what exactly the process to complete “Varied Geometry” should look like, check outSneakyBeaver’s guide on YouTube.

Contrary to popular belief, the dissection players do not have to make a 3D shape containing the shapes the inside player doesn’t have. Rather, the 3D cannot contain the shape the inside player does have.

There’s not a lot going on in this challenge triumph.Do not gain more than two stacks of Resonance of any type and you’ll succeed. Now, with how many adds and other things there are going on in this encounter, this is easier said than done, but stay light on your feet and you should be fine. Avoid making mistakes while breaking hands to have an easier go of it.

As usual, each limb-breaking player should pick an attack type they’ll watch out for.If you move quickly enough to break the limb and reveal the bracelet type, you’ll be able to avoid picking up any Resonance stacks. If any player ends up with Resonance they don’t need, they can stand on the middle plate as the buttons on the Witness' coat are being broken, and the Resonance will be cleansed.

There is one more challenge forDestiny 2’s Salvation’s Edgeraid, but it’s not yet been revealed. The fourth encounter’s Master Challenge was revealed this week, so it’s likely the fifth’s will come in the following week. This is also when we willlearn more about the mysterious Conductorand their plan for the Vex.
