Summary

Several of the new characters from Natlan inGenshin Impact5.0 and beyond have been presented by HoYoverse, showcasing what players can expect in terms of playable characters and even villains in the upcoming year of content. While Version 4.8 has yet to debut and run in its entirety, Version 5.0 is already lined up to be the next big patch in the popular action RPG. Version 5.0 will be responsible for introducing these characters and, of course, therelease of Natlan inGenshin Impact, from where all of these new characters hail. So far, little is known about Natlan.

It is confirmed that it is the Nation of Pyro, but that the Archon has not been seen in many years. Additionally, Natlan is described as a region engulfed in wars between various tribes, and the Fatui Harbinger known as Capitano invested interest in the area. Natlan has also been said to be a region of dragons, some of which were seen when thefirst Natlan teaser forGenshin Impactwas released. The video showcased various types of Saurians, dragon-like creatures from Natlan. While the region is still weeks away, a large roster of Natlan characters was finally revealed.

New leaks about an upcoming Natlan update in Genshin Impact 5.0 suggest that characters will see a major change to their kits moving forward.

Mualani Was One Of The First Teased Natlan Characters In Genshin Impact

She Is Expected To Be A Hydro Catalyst Character

Several of the Natlan characters were showcased in the new Natlan teaser trailer called Ignition, posted on the officialGenshin Impactchannel on YouTube. The first character to appear is Mualani, a unit who had already been teased but was now shown talking and from a different angle. Mualani boasts her blue clothing and hair. In the previous video, Mualani was seen fishing and then riding what looked like a shark-shaped homing projectile, which may very well be her rumoredmount inGenshin Impact. Based on leaks,Mualani is expected to be a 5-star Hydro catalyst character.

The characters’ names were revealed by HoYoverse in the description of the video and subsequent posts on theGenshin Impactaccount on X (formerly Twitter).

Kachina Was Also Shown As One Of The First Natlan Characters From Genshin Impact

The Character Is Called By Mualani & Sets In Motion A Series Of Events

Called upon by Mualani to throw the ball promoting the tournament, Kachina makes a reappearance, now as a fully-named character.Kachina first debuted alongside Mualani in the first character teaser trailer, where she was riding a drill-shaped mount and running away from a new type of enemy from Natlan. At the end of that video, Kachina joined her allies and was ready to face a group of opponents. Now, however,Genshin Impactplayers get to see a bit of her in a more relaxed situation.

In the new Natlan teaser trailer, Kachina appears closely to the camera that is filming Mualani and then joins the blue-haired girl. From there, the loli-type character throws a ball into the air, which then stumbles and moves across the region, making its way into the hands of several other Natlan characters. Based on theNatlan character leaks inGenshin Impact5.0, Kachina is rumored to be a 4-star Geo polearm user.

Kinich & Ajaw Seem To Be A Duo In Genshin Impact

The Pixel-Art Creature May Be A Companion To The New Natlan Character

Following Kachina’s ball throw, Kinich makes a reappearance, as he had already been shown as one of the first Natlan characters in the previous teaser. The rumored 5-star Dendro claymore character is shown gliding through the air, possibly with the aid of his leaked grapple hook.Kinich is then joined by “Almighty Dragonlord (Self-Proclaimed)” K’uhul Ajaw, a dragon-like pixel-art creature, which seems to be a companion to the new character.

Citlali Makes Her First Appearance In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Teaser

The Brand-New Character Seem To Have A Temper

After Kinich grabs and throws the ball forward, the item lands at the feet of Citlali, a never-before-seen pink-haired girl. The character is shown becoming furious at the disturbance caused by the ball’s arrival, pondering on whether she needs to participate in the tournament, and then throwing the ball away.Citlali’s design inGenshin Impactis composed of black clothing with purple, pink, and blue accents, as well as golden-metallic accessories.

Xilonen Resembles Dehya In Genshin Impact

The Character Is Confirmed To Have A Geo Vision

The ball then proceeds to fall into the grasp of Xilonen. The character who has an adult female body type rests on a large tree branch. The character has blonde hair and, because of the animal-shaped ears at the top of her head, Xilonen somewhat resembles Dehya. Furthermore,Xilonen also looks like an older version of Kachina, who also has these ears at the top of her head. Xilonen is confirmed to be aNatlan Geo character inGenshin Impact, as seen by her Vision in the new teaser trailer.

There are leaks about a Geo character being released in Version 5.1. Xilonen may very well be that character if the rumors are true.

Iansan Was Revealed Years Ago As A Natlan Character In Genshin Impact

The Character’s Design Does Not Seem To Have Changed

The ball then stumbles out of Xilonen’s hand, quickly bouncing off of Iansan’s head. Iansan was the first Natlan character to ever be revealed. In fact, she was first shown years ago, when HoYoverse presented the roadmap for the game. Iansan is seen quickly running in the jungle with her skull-shaped mask attached to a bandana on her head, surrounding her long white hair. Iansan has black, orange, and purple clothing, as well as bright green eyes.Iansan’s Vision is not seen in the trailer.

Chasca Seems Like Some Of The Leaked Captain R Designs From Genshin Impact’s Fontaine Region

The Character Holds A Cryo Vision

The next and final character to hold the tournament’s promotional ball is Chasca. The new character has wine-colored hair and a scarf that matches it, as well as long pointed elf-like ears and blue eyes. Chasca wears a large tricorn and, overall, she resembles some of the leaked designs for Captain R, who becameClorinde inGenshin Impact. Chasca’s design may have come from previous concept art. Subtly, the teaser shows thatChasca holds a Cryo Vision, which dangles from the side of her hip.

Mavuika Seems Like The Pyro Archon From Natlan In Genshin Impact

The Character Follows The Himeko Archetype From Other HoYoverse Games

After that, the teaser showcases Mavuika, a character with an adult female body type. The boasts long red hair, dark black clothing with golden accents, and is teased as the Pyro Archon. This is unconfirmed, but she seems to be in charge of the tournament at least. Mavuika is also seen wearing sunglasses. Althoughshe is not seen wearing a Vision, possibly due to the rumors about her being the Pyro Archon, she most likely wields Pyro in combat.

Mavuika takes on the Murata Himeko archetype from other HoYoverse titles, like Murata fromHonkai Impact 3rdor Himeko fromHonkai: Star Rail.

“The Captain” Il Capitano May Play A Big Role In Genshin Impact’s Natlan Region

During the teaser trailer,Mavuika is shown challenging the Fatui Harbinger known as Capitano. She asks him if he is brave enough to compete in the tournament, to which he responds by grunting. Capitano then seems to walk away. The Fatui Harbinger’s presence in Natlan had already been confirmed through story quests, but his appearance in theGenshin Impactteaser trailer seems to indicate he will play a large role in the story to come, even if it is still shrouded in mystery.

Ororon Is An Enigmatic Natlan Character In Genshin Impact

He May Be Assisting Capitano In The Region

Appearing alongside Capitano is an enigmatic character called Ororon. The character wears dark clothing with a blue and green scarf and has dark blue hair. Ororon’s clothes are somewhat tattered and given his proximity to Capitano,Ororon may take on an antagonistic role during the story. Nothing else is known about him.

The release of Natlan should occur in late August and with the Version 5.0 livestream likely occurring in mid-August, players may not have to wait too much longer to learn more about Natlan and its upcoming characters inGenshin Impact.
