This suggests that, unlike HoYoverse’s current offerings, which all share similar-looking anime artstyles, one of the studio’s future games will lean more towards realism, with a visual style closer to traditional “AAA” games.

As of right now, there’s very little else to speculate on regarding HoYoverse’s in-development mystery game, as no other details have been revealed or leaked. Hiring for a AAA games enthusiast and a realistic artstyle, though, would indicate that the game will visually be a large departure from the studio’s other offerings, and in terms of genre, it’s likely that HoYoverse would want to avoid heavy overlap with any of its other games, meaning that it probably won’t be open world (Genshin), a turn-based RPG (HSR), or a mission-based action game (ZZZ).
