Summary
After the launch of several successful games,HoYoverse, the developer behindGenshin Impact,Honkai: Star Rail, and, most recently, theambitiousZenless Zone Zero, may already be looking to launch yet another project - one that might be a large departure from the studio’s previous works. Having seen massive success withGenshin’s release in 2020, HoYoverse has greatly expanded its efforts, going on to launchHonkai: Star Railin 2023 andZenless Zone Zerojust a year later in 2024. As all these games share a similar style, but the studio may be looking to diversify its offerings.
A job posting on themiHoYowebsite, roughly translated in a thread fromYenuzuon Reddit, indicates thatHoYoverse is hiring for a game with a more realistic artstyle. The posting calls for a 3D modeler capable of “realistic character and monster production,” stating that the applicant would preferably be a “3A game enthusiast”.

This suggests that, unlike HoYoverse’s current offerings, which all share similar-looking anime artstyles, one of the studio’s future games will lean more towards realism, with a visual style closer to traditional “AAA” games.
New Genshin Impact Leak Reveals Natlan Map’s Full Size
Natlan will debut with a fairly large map size in Genshin Impact 5.0, and leaks predict how much it will expand in Version 5.1 and 5.2.
HoYoverse’s New Game Could Be A Massive Departure From Genshin
Different From The Anime Style Of Genshin, HSR, & ZZZ
While the job posting might not be the clearest indicator of HoYoverse’s future plans, especially given the rough translation, it should be noted that another of the studio’s future games is seemingly already on the way, potentially under the title ofAstaweave Heaven- and that the new job posting is seemingly unrelated. This would indicate that HoYoverse has at least two more games in development, withAstaweavehaving been leaked to be aStardew Valley-like farming game, and the genre of the other game currently unknown.
As of right now, there’s very little else to speculate on regarding HoYoverse’s in-development mystery game, as no other details have been revealed or leaked. Hiring for a AAA games enthusiast and a realistic artstyle, though, would indicate that the game will visually be a large departure from the studio’s other offerings, and in terms of genre, it’s likely that HoYoverse would want to avoid heavy overlap with any of its other games, meaning that it probably won’t be open world (Genshin), a turn-based RPG (HSR), or a mission-based action game (ZZZ).

Genshin Impact Leaks: Forget Everything You Thought You Knew About Capitano
New Genshin Impact leaks may have just shed some light on who the Fatui Harbinger Capitano truly is and when he will arrive as a playable character.
It’s also fairly unlikely that the game won’t be a gacha, as the gacha system has been consistent in the studio’s releases afterGenshinImpact. However, a realistic, AAA-leaning artstyle might indicate that the studio is starting to branch out more heavily from its already-established games, soHoYoverse’s future projects might try something very different from what players have come to expect of the studio.
