Summary
My Adventures With Supermanseason 2 came to a triumphant conclusion, but I still needDCto change one thing about Lex Luthor for next season. The anime-inspired animated series has done an incredible job reimagining its villains in creative new ways, and withMy Adventures With Supermanseason 3 confirmed, it will be exciting to see how the show continues to flesh out Luthor’s character. By the end of season 2, the show positions Luthor as a significant threat to Superman going forward.
Lex Luthor was a minor character inMy Adventures With Supermanseason 1, appearing in three episodes that revolve around the villain Parasite. Luthor appears in nine episodes during season 2, having a significant impact on the season’s narrative. I wasn’t sure how the show would portray Lex Luthor, but was satisfied with how his villain origin story played out and how much of a threat he could be to Superman following theMy Adventures With Supermanseason 2 ending- but one thing does need to change soon.

DC Makes The Perfect Superman Upgrade For Anyone Who Hates David Corenswet’s Trunks
DC’s latest animated Superman adaptation adds to the trunks discourse following a costume upgrade that sees them ditched for the more modern look.
DC, Please Make My Adventures With Superman’s Lex Luthor Bald Already
It never really bothered me if Lex Luthor started out as bald or not. Having hair and then losing it could help elevate the impact that a bald Lex Luthor can have, and bears some parallels to his comic story. When his hair is gone, it often truly feels like something shifts for the character, taking on his traditional and most well known comic villain appearance and thus suggesting to audiences that the “real” Lex Luthor is finally entering the spotlight - something the DCEU explored with Jesse Eisenberg’s Luthor depiction.
My Adventures With Superman’stake on Lex Luthor has been great so far, and with him seemingly becoming an even greater threat to Superman in season 3, it’s time for him to go bald.Lex Luthor going from unassuming assistant to full-on billionaire super villain is a fantastic arc for him inMy Adventures with Superman, and him losing his hair could be a solid way to symbolically present his evolution as a character, while also letting fans who have waited for this moment finally see it come to fruition

Lex Luthor perfectly embodied the evil tech bro genius inMy Adventures With Superman, with his haircut working to initially leave audiences unsure if this was Lex Luthor before his name was revealed. At the very end of season 2, Lex Luthor and Deathstroke look up at the colossal Lexcorp building, with Luthor’s sinister grin cementing him as the evil business person he was destined to become. This is more in line with the traditional Lex Luthor that has endured in the Superman mythos for decades.
While his character design is already great, it does feel a little weird thatMy Adventures With Supermanhas essentially gone through his origin story without the iconic hair loss. It’s such a core part of the character that it’simmediately notable, and the other adaptations that chose to keep his hair have had a divisive reception to this decision in the past. As such, if there is any chance to get Lex Luthor to look a little more traditional in season 3, it seems best for DC to take it.

My Adventures With Supermanmight never have its Lex Luthor be bald, and while that would be a surprising move, it wouldn’t be a show-breaking one. The character has been well realized in the series and his design is already strong, keeping in line with the overall aesthetic of the show. Still, I would really enjoy seeing how the team behindMy Adventures With Supermanwould design a more traditional, bald Lex Luthor in its distinctive art style, especially as it’s conventionally such a key part of the character.
