However, I believe that it’s possible that Disney is leaving them out of the talks because the producers might be planning on replacing them too.

The show won’t work with three male judges because it needs a female voice on the panel. Lionel represents the R&B/soul genre, while Luke is a country artist, so if the show adds another judge from one of those categories, then one of them might have to be replaced. It’s also so inspiring to see them perform with the finalists during the season finale, knowing that they’re welcoming them into the music industry with open arms.
