Crunchyroll’s newest hit anime,Kaiju No. 8,has finally revealed an official release window for its upcoming second season along with an exciting new teaser. Based on the manga by Naoya Matsumoto,Kaiju no. 8was instantly renewed for season 2back in June, as soon as its first season finished airing, and it seems fans may not have to wait too long for the upcoming season to release.
A post on X by the anime’s official account has confirmed thatseason 2 ofKaiju no. 8will be released in 2025. The announcement was accompanied by a new teaser video posted to X as well as YouTube by Toho Animation’s official channel.

The teaser mostly includes clips of various kaiju being defeated and several key fights from season 1 edited to look like VHS footage.
The announcement also reveals that a new original episode titled “Hoshina’s Day Off” and a compilation of season 1 is already in production.
