We’re here at IFA 2023 in Berlin, and we want to share with our readers some of the best technology we found while scouring the show floor. There are lots of exciting innovations at IFA this year, but this list represents the crème de la crème.

If you’re keen to see what was tickling our tech-buds at IFA 2023, check out the list below…

Honor Magic V2

Honor Magic V2

Wereviewed the Honor Magic Vsback in February, hailing it as an innovation in the foldable smartphone space. Fast forward to September, and Honor is unveiling the upgraded Honor Magic V2; their latest and greatest foldable smartphone yet. So, what makes the Honor Magic V2 so impressive?

Well, for a start, it is only 4.7mm thin when unfolded, which is pretty damn incredible considering it needs to house all sorts of components (which are also groundbreaking-ly thin). You can read more about theHonor Magic V2 in our report from the show, but rest assured, this is easily the most impressive foldable we have seen to date. Plus, it packs the Honor Falcon photography tech we now know so well, so look forward to some top snaps, too.

Urbanista

Urbanista Malibu Solar Bluetooth Speaker

Urbanista is doing great things with its solar-powered audio gear. Harnessing the power of our nearest star with its integrated Powerfoyle solar tech, your device can charge without limitation. Enter the sustainable (recycled plastic and other materials, don’t you know) Urbanista Malibu, the latest in the brand’s line of solar charging tech.

The Malibu is a brand new releaseand takes the solar tech to the less personal Bluetooth speaker space. Having conquered earbuds (read ourUrbanista Phoenix reviewhere) and headphones, now you can share your music with everyone, theoretically forever, thanks to the power of our nearest star. Bluetooth speakers are meant to be portable and thanks to its solar charging, the Malibu means the party never needs to end!

Dreame IFA 2023

Dreame L20 Ultra

Dreame’s new robot vacuum/mop hybrid promises to be somewhat of a game changer for those who enjoy the convenience of such a device. The brand has long been innovating the robovac space, bringing new features to the market, and now they have done it again with the revolutionary new Dreame L20 Ultra.

Not only does this device come with the most complete self-empty station in its price range (it replaces mopping water, adds cleaning solution, removes dust from the dustbin, and cleans and dries the mop head), but it also has outwards extending mop heads, which are a first on the market, and allow you to get into corners that other robot vacuum/mops simply can’t.

Jackery IFA 2023

Jackery 300 Plus

Jackery is an incredibly well-respected brand when it comes to portable power, and its brand-new Jackery 300 Plus power station is something to behold. Why? Because it packs enough power to keep you running for days on end, much like its big sibling, the3000 Pro we recently reviewed.

Not only that, but it also charges within 2 hours using two of the Jackery solar panels, so as long as you can see the sun, you can load your power station with free juice, all provided by our nearest star. With up to 5kWh, you can deliver emergency power to your home for up to three days, which is great news if you are the outdoors type; you can keep running with the Jackery 300 Plus, which is small enough to fit in your rucksack.

Shure IFA 2023

Shure Aonic 50 Gen. II

Shure released the first generation of its iconic Aonic 50 cans back in April 2020, and now it steps up to the plate with the second generation of its impressive over-ears. If you thought the first generation broke ground when Shure released it to critical acclaim, then you can expect the second generation to wow just as much.

Not only does the Gen II carry Snapdragon Sound compatibility, but you also get the advantage of Spatial Sound across three separate modes. In addition to this, the 20-hour battery life from Gen I has increased to 45 hours, which is over twice the capacity of the first gen, and among the highest on the market!

Jabra Elite 10

Jabra’s latest in its line of premium earbuds need to be heard to be believed. Standing at the Jabra booth, we were treated to some serious soundscaping thanks to the excellent quality audio the Elite 10’s possess. This, combined with the Dolby 3D sound compatibility and the incredible head tracking, and you have an in-ear listening experience that we found to be unrivaled at IFA 2023.

Aside from this superb feature, Jabra has improved on the ANC, doubling the strength to drown out the world around you, which is exactly what you want when you’re immersed in truly 3D sound. With 27 hours of battery life when you have ANC in constant use. Without ANC, this increases to 36 hours.

Withings ScanWatch 2

Withings has long been a recognized brand where well-being and wellness are concerned; its wearables have been tracking our health since 2008 and for good reason. It affords its users accurate and efficient data representation, and the Withings ScanWatch 2 is here to shake up the wearable industry with aplomb.

The ScanWatch 2 has plenty to shout about and offers all the features you would expect from a health-tracking smartwatch. However, Withings bring something new to the table with the ScanWatch 2; 24/7 temperature monitoring. This means that you’re able to quickly and easily know if your temperature suddenly raises or drops, which might indicate a health issue. Great work from Withings here.

Lenovo Legion Go

Step aside Steam Deck, Lenovo is elbowing you well out of the way with its brand new handheld gaming PC, set to power up the gaming market with a device that will give Steam and ASUS a run for their money. The device will have all the trappings of a powerful handheld gaming PC, with Xbox Game Pass compatibility coming as standard.

In terms of specs, we’re looking at a nifty Ryzen Z1, and the Legion Go will feast your eyeballs with gaming goodness via an impressive 8.8 inch, 144 Hz variable refresh rate display. Fans of handheld gaming have a lot to look forward to with Lenovo’s fantastic handheld (not least being able to play Starfield in the palm of their hand…). Check out our dedicated Lenovo Legion Go article for our hands-on experience!

CASETiFY Ultra Bounce Case

You have to love Casetify. The brand produces some fantastic smartphone accessories, and it hasn’t broken form with the latest in its line; a protective case for the iPhone 15, which launches only a couple of weeks after IFA. Stylish yet hard-wearing, Casetify knows how to keep your phone safe, giving you peace of mind that your new handset isn’t going to meet an untimely demise because of your clumsy butter fingers.

The cases come with hardy rubber bumpers on each corner, which obviously reduce the impact if you accidentally drop your phone. It also covers the rear of the phone in protective plastic, meaning that the glass fascia isn’t going to splinter into a million pieces the second it touches the ground after a drop. iPhones are expensive, we all know that, so protect yours with a Casetify case and feel all the better for it.

Robosen Grimlock Robot

Robosen definitely takes the accolade for one of the most eye-catching displays at IFA this year. With a row of their Optimus Prime and Bumblebee robots performing a synced-up Shaolin-style drill, with a further Optimus center stage pulling off some impressive martial arts, we stopped several times with big, stupid grins on our faces.

The latest addition to their automated robot toy collection is the prehistoric T-Rex, Grimlock, also from Transformers. Capable of transforming between his robot and dinosaur form without you even going near him, the brand new Grimlock bot would make an excellent addition to ANY Transformer collector’s display. With full app integration, a massive selection of moves to pull off, and faithful detailing, this is one robot in disguise that is bound to put a smile on anyone’s face.
