In fact, it is only just beginning. When Miles was revealed to have transformed into one of the bloodthirsty monsters and attacked the Avengers, it took the combined power of Doctor Strange and Clea to help him regain his agency. Earlier in his solo series,Miles Morales: Spider-Man,Miles teamed up with Blade and his daughterBloodline to stop another vampire who sprang back up during the crossover event. The friendship between Spider-Man and Bloodline and their connection was pivotal to the heroes’ success duringBlood Hunt. The duo had to work together to stop the possessed Blade and defeat Varnae, and consequently, since Blade narrowly survived the scuffle, he and Bloodline should continue to appear in Miles’ Spider-Man adventures.

Miles will have to keep control of his thirst for blood to remain the iconic hero he is today.

Though Miles had mostly been able to control his vampiric compulsions inBlood Hunt, solicitations for future issues of his solo series hint that he will struggle with his bloodthirstiness moving forward.Vulture’s daughter and Miles’ love interest, Tiana Toomes, appears to be in some sort of danger with Miles on Federico Vicentini’s cover forMiles Morales: Spider-Man #23,with the web-slinger’s bloodlust apparently still affecting him. Miles will also appear ina new volume ofBlood Hunters, being hunted down by Elsa Bloodstone and her new team.

Since other Marvel characters have become vampires, and stayed that for long periods of time before –including Jubileeand an alternate universe version of Storm renamed Bloodstorm –it’s not out of the realm of possibility for Miles’ vampire status to remain permanent, or at least stick around for a while.
