If you’re an Apple fan, you likely use an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods on a daily basis. The Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger provides a nice way to charge all three of those devices at the same time while away from home. While it folds up compactly when not in use and cuts down on cords needed, the cost makes the overall package hard to swallow.

Designed to Power All Your Apple Devices
Once unfolded, there are three separate spots for your Apple Watch, AirPods, and Apple Watch. All the chargers sit on a soft and flexible dark fabric.
On the left side is a charger for AirPods. While the rectangle shape is designed AirPods Pro, you can also easily fit any AirPods with a wireless charging case.
In the center is a MagSafe charger that can juice up an iPhone at the maximum compatible speed of 15W. Since your iPhone lies flat, you won’t be able to make use of the StandBy mode that arrived in iOS 17, which shows the time and other helpful information on the screen while charging the handset.
The right side sports an Apple Watch charging puck, also compatible with Fast Charging of an Apple Watch Series 7 or later or any Apple Watch Ultra. With that, you’re able to juice up the wearable device from 0 to 80 percent in around 45 minutes. That’s a big advantage compared to the previous version of Mophie’s travel charger.
As a nice touch, the watch charging puck can lie flat or rotate up at a 90-degree angle. When at an angle, the puck places your Apple Watch into Nightstand Mode and will show the time and other information, like when your alarm is set by gently touching the screen. The angled puck will also accommodate Apple Watch bands that don’t unbuckle like the Solo Loop.
You’ll need to attach the USB-C cable to a small notch on the Apple Watch charger and then plug it into the 30W USB-C PD wall charger. Both are included.
I took the Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger on a few trips, and had no issues charging my devices. All I needed was a flat surface with a power outlet nearby. My only complaint is that only a meager three-foot USB-C cable is included. That limits the placement of the charger to a very nearby power outlet. While you could purchase a longer cord, that adds to the already expensive cost.
Foldable: Takes Up Minimal Space While on the Go
It’s actually when you’re finished charging that Mophie’s solution really shines. Thanks to a set of magnets inside the charger, you can fold everything up into a small and compact form, a little larger than a deck of playing cards.
You can then place the charger in the included travel bag, which a little shorter than an iPhone 15 Pro Max. The travel bag also has a small space for both the charging cable and wall adapter. There is even a pocket free for additional objects like another short cable or smaller item.
The zippered travel case is made with soft and black material that feels similar to felt. While it feels nice, the case seemed to attract dust and dog hair from my home and bag in record quantities in just a short amount of time. While I only have two short-haired dogs, I needed to use my lint roller on the bag more than once.
I’ve used a number of multi-device chargers for home use, but Mophie’s option was the first I’ve tried that’s designed specifically for travel. At home, I strongly prefer a charger with a built-in spot for AirPods. But I question whether a specific AirPods spot makes sense. As long as your AirPods case supports wireless charging, you can juice up the headphones on the MagSafe charger for the iPhone.
Overall, the largest issue I have is with the $150 retail price. That’s quite a price to pay for something that’s not designed to be used daily. Many of Mophie’s own multi-device chargers designed for home use cost significantly less.
Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger: Portability and Simplicity, but at Too High a Price
For anyone who travels frequently and wants to cut down on extra cords and chargers, the Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger With MagSafe is a near-perfect option that takes up almost little space in a carry-on bag.
But for everyone else, the retail price makes it a tough sell, as it really doesn’t make a good home charger with its lightweight design and missing StandBy support for the iPhone. There are other off-brand options available for much less. And if hauling around extra cables doesn’t bother you, purchasing a USB-C wall adapter, Apple Watch charger, and MagSafe charger purely for travel would cost less than $60.
