Chapter #426 ofMy Hero Academiaconfirms that Hawks is aliveand well and has managed to survive the brutal battle against All For One. In the chapter, Hawks is seen conversing with Lady Nagant, and save for a few small scars, it appears as though Hawks made out of the final war in one piece without any other lasting injuries.
The latest chapter also reveals that Hawks has taken Yoshimura Mera’s place as the President of the Hero Public Safety Commission, perhaps giving him a chance to fight against the corruption in the system that he loathed for the longest time.

Hawks injuries after the battle against All For One left many fans questioning whether he was still alive or whether he would survive even if given immediate medical attention. All For One had not only taken away his quirk but also roughed him up quite badly. To add to his injuries, Hawks later even encountered a double of Himiko Toga, who further sliced him up.
Moreover, the last time Hawks was properly seen was back in chapter #416 where he appeared to be conscious but gravely injured, lying on the battlefield alongside Tsukuyomi. The fact thatHawks appeared as a fully formed vestigein the vestige realm further fed doubts about his survival. Even though he appeared to be being rescued along with Tsukuyomi in chapter #422, it was difficult to be sure whether Hawks would make it and the latest chapter marks his first appearance since then, confirming he has survived.
Surprisingly, other than becoming quirkless, Hawks has not suffered any debilitating, lasting injuries from the battle, unlike Bakugo, Deku, and many others. Chapter #426 reveals Hawks has walked away unscathed except for a new scar on his forehead to accompany the old one going down his jaw and neck.
Overall, it appearsMy Hero Academiahas managed to strike the perfect balance with its finale, with some heroes like Hawks managing to walk away from the final war and carry on with their lives, while others, like Endeavor, will forever be a reminder of the long bloodybattle against All For One and Shigaraki. While the ending isn’t without death or consequences, there are also those who have remained unharmed. There are some like Shoto who have forgiven and forgotten, as well as others like Natsuo and Lady Nagant who continue to hold a grudge, which only makesMy Hero Academia’s ending feel all the more realistic.
