On Twitter,@clevelanddotcomhas shared the first photos of Nathan Fillion’s Green Lantern and Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl on the set ofSuperman. The set photos unite four of Superman’s confirmed DCU heroes, with Merced’s Hawkgirl flying alongside Edi Gathegi’s jetpack-wielding Mister Terrific, while Fillion’s Green Lantern stays on the ground with Corenswet’s Superman. The set photos also tease a possible element of theSupermanmovie’s plot, with the four DCU heroes walking to the sound of cheers and applause from Metropolis citizens.

Fillion is playing the Guy Gardner version of Green Lantern inSuperman. Different from Ryan Reynolds' Hal Jordan in 2011’sGreen Lantern, Fillion will be sporting a physical costume as his DCU hero, which already starts things off on a positive note. A new secret character has seemingly been confirmed for James Gunn’s Superman after new set photos and videos, and the DCU player is very powerful.
Different from the other Green Lanterns, Guy is known to wear a jacket in the comics as part of his superhero suit. Fillion’s look inSupermanalso sees the Green Lantern don a jacket, though Guy Gardner’s costume is not completely comic book-accurate. The DCU movie adds a lot more white to Guy’s suit. While the Green Lantern’s costume has white elements, like gloves, in the comics, Guy’s suit is usually a fully green jacket with black pants and sleeves.
There is also another striking detail that differentiates Guy Gardner’s Green Lantern suit inSupermanfrom his classic comic book look. Guy sports the same symbol on his suit as Mister Terrific. There is aDCU theory that the Justice League International is inSuperman, as set photos from the movie point to the logo on the heroes' costumes being from LORDTECH. The company belongs to Maxwell Lord, who was the JLI’s manager in the comics and will be played by Sean Gunn in the DCU. Fillion’s Green Lantern costume changes could be part of a team design inSuperman.
