At this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, IDW announced a newStar Trek: Lower Decksongoing, with returning writer Ryan North. North will be joined for the book’s debut story by artist Derek Charm. The duo previously worked on the Eisner-nominatedStar Trek: Day of Blood: Shaxs’ Best Dayone-shot. North is no stranger to the world ofLower Deckseither, having written 2022’s miniseries based on the cartoon.
As reported on the officialStar Trekwebsite, IDW announcedStar Trek: Lower Decksat 2024’s San Diego Comic-Con. The book will feature North as a regular writer, with a new artist for each story. Derek Charm will drawLower Decks’first story. In addition to theaforementionedShaxs’ Best Day, North and Charm worked onThe Unbeatable Squirrel Girlfor Marvel. IDW did not announce any plot details for the book, or subsequent artists.

IDW did provide a first look at some of the book’s covers, including one depicting the meeting of Badgey and Moopsy.
