John Larroquette as Klingon in Star Trek 3 and as Dan Fielding in Night Court reboot

This sort of change can be a detriment to a show that is still finding its footing, as theNight Courtoriginal cast is now down to John Larroquette, Melissa Rauch, and Lacretta. In addition to being a well-known face to TV viewers, with roles inJust Shoot Me!,Frasier,Hot in Cleveland,Young Sheldon, andShrinking,Malick is no stranger to sitcomsand comedies. She’ll bring that experience toNight Courtseason 3, which is a hopeful sign for the sitcom’s quality. That’s doubly true, considering Malick’s established chemistry with Larroquette.

What Night Court’s New Major Actor Exit Means For Season 3

The news of a major actor’s exit from NBC’s reboot of Night Court could create both positive and negative changes in season 3’s structure and story.

Dan may even need Julianne’s regular addition to theNight Courtcast, given the cliffhanger that Abby (Rauch) could be dating his son. The former flames arrived at something of an understanding, which may well blossom into more now that Malick will be part of the regular group. It adds an element of intrigue tothe reboot, whichdebuts new episodes on Tuesday, November 19,and will also be available to stream on Peacock.
