Summary

One Piecehas confirmed that two of the most iconic characters in the series,Trafalgar Law and Eustass Kid, are out of the race to find the titular treasure. With their ships having been sunk in front of their eyes, their dreams of reaching the One Piece may be a thing of the past.

InOne Piece, one of the most cherished possessions of a pirate is their ship. Not only are these vessels the easiest mode of transportation in a world almost fully covered by water, but they also act as their home while out at sea. A ship is often considered another member of the crew, with those who inhabit it forming an unbreakable bond with them.

After both Kid and Law saw their ships destroyed, their hopes of completing their journey to Laugh Tale seemed already dead, but chapter #1121 ofOne Pieceput the final nail in the coffin.

One Piece Finally Shows Shanks' True Power & Makes Him Scarier Than Ever

One Piece has finally revealed what Shanks is truly capable of and it confirms he is a much bigger and scarier threat than he seems.

Trafalgar and Kid May Not Be Able To Reach Laugh Tale

Without a Vessel, Their Chances of Getting There Are Almost None

Reaching the last island ofOne Piece’s world, better known as the legendary Laugh Tale, is the goal of almost all pirates in the series. Kid, like many other characters, had a dream of obtaining the titular One Piece treasure and becoming the King of the Pirates. While Trafalgar had no such desire, he did aspire to learn the meaning of the D. in his name, which would have become possible by finding Laugh Tale. Their dreams seem to have been obliterated in front of their eyes, as their vessels were destroyed in recent battles against imposing opponents.

Law lost his crew and Road Poneglyphs after he was ambushed by Blackbeard’s crew. Trafalgar fought bravely, doing his best to prevent Teach from succeeding. Due to Blackbeard’s impressive strength, however, Law’s dream came to an end. Kid, on the other hand, brought about his downfallby challenging Shanks and the Red-Hair Pirates. Shanks, trying to prevent Eustass’ attack from harming innocents, was forced to obliterate the Kid Pirates’ ship with a single attack during episode 1112 of the anime adaptation.

One Piece Confirmed Law and Kid Are Out of the Race

While They May Return at Some Point, They Are No Longer Contenders

Trafalgar and Eustass are likelyno longer contenders for the King of the Pirates title, although that does not mean that they will never be seen again in the story. Their objectives will possibly change from reaching Laugh Tale to overcoming the pirates that caused their downfall. In chapter #1121, when Vegapunk announced that the fate of the world would be decided by whoever finds theOne Piece, an image of the Four Emperors was shown, implying that they are the only contenders left in the race.

While they are no longer competing for the One Piece, Kid and Law could still return seeking revenge against the Emperors who took their dreams away from them, fighting against Shanks and Blackbeard once more. Acquiring the titular treasure has been the motivation of most pirates in theOne Pieceuniverse. Nonetheless, plenty of outlaws have been shown to have completely different goals in mind.Law and Kidreturning would surely make their many fans happy, even if with different objectives.
