One Piece Episode #1111 Made The Most Out Of A Slow Episode

One Pieceepisode #1111 was another slow episode for the series, but it did a good job of making the most out of its source material. While there wasn’t a lot of action in episode #1111, the few action scenes were all animated very well;Sanji’s brief fight with S-Shark, in particular, had outstanding animation for how short of a fight it was. There was a notable amount of quality animation from start to finish, and with how little ended up happening, that was great to see.

The build-up to the reveal of York being the mastermind was also great. Between Pythagoras’ death and the ominous music that accompanied the slow reveal of York’s true colors,One Pieceepisode #1111 did an incredible job of building up the tension of York’s reveal, making what was originally a quick moment in the manga something far more enjoyable to watch play out in the anime. Episode #1111 did a great job of playing into one of the biggest moments of the Egghead Island arc, and it’s another great example of the anime’s best expansions on the manga.

Saint Saturn in episode 1111

One Pieceepisode #1111 made the most of what little it had to work with, and it’s a good sign of what’s next for the anime. If the anime is putting this much effort into something largely bereft of content outside of the ending, thenOne Piece’s upcoming interlude from Egghead Island is sure to have a lot of love and care put into every episode. One Pieceepisode #1112 will be the first test of that idea, and with any luck, it will be a great start toOne Piece’s new direction.
