The trailer is set to a cover of Coldplay’s “Viva la Vida,” which is sung by Blackpink’s Rosé. It begins with Teenage Sunja (Minha Kim) saying that her grandfather always wanted her to see the world. From there, the trailer moves to Osaka in 1945 andreveals Teenage Sunja reuniting with Koh Hansu (Lee Min-ho). She says it’s been 14 years, though he answers that he could never forget her.
The trailer also reveals that the upcoming installment will deal with Japan being bombed, as one character notes that “the Americans want it to see it all burn.” It’s also confirmed that the adaptation will resume the decades-spanning story, with Sunja being portrayed through different decades.

Another story unfolds in Tokyo in 1989, as Solomon (Jin Ha) explores new, humble beginnings.
