The free features of Fest 2024 during Day 1 includespecial Pokémon appearing,new Raid bosses, andnew Avatar itemsfor you to collect. The Avatar items are thePokémon GoFest 2024 Alolan Greeting Pose and the Marshadow T-Shirt, which can both be obtained bycompleting the event’s Special Research story. These unique looks for your character can help your Avatar visually match the ongoing event.
Special collections of Pokémon spawn alongside the normal creatures you may expect to see outside of events. LikeSpotlight Hour schedules inPokémon GO, Day 1 features Pokémon with unique items that will appear exclusively during this time. Depending on the habitats you explore, you will be able to find these Pokémon on the event’s first day:

All the special catch Pokémon from Day 1 ofPokémon GO’s Fest 2024 event will also show up during Day 2, so don’t worry about only having one day to try and encounter every wild creature being spotlighted in different habitats.
On top of the available Pokémon, you can fight and catch Raid bosses in challenging battles featured at Gym locations. The One-Star, Three-Star, and Five-Star Raids all feature Pokémon of varying difficulties, with One-Star Raids being the easiest, while Five-Stars are the hardest. The Five-Star Raids typically feature Legendary Pokémon, with the Fest 2024 event introducing a brand new one to the game.

Those who purchase a special Event Ticket for Fest 2024 will have more features unlocked, including theMarshadow Special Research,Global Challenge Arena,exclusive bonuses, andspecial Incense encounters. Completing the special research for Marshadow will increase your chances of finding the Mythical Pokémon, giving you an extremely rare chance to add one to your collection.
The Global Challenge Arena during Day 1 involves collaborating with other Trainers to complete a challenge within a certain timeframe. Doing this will unlock bonus features for players who hold an Event Ticket for the remainder of the day. These bonuses could add to what ticket holders already receive, which include extra Friendship bonus damage in Raids to increaseShiny encounter chances.
Other bonuses ticket holders get are themed challenges to help upgrade their Elite Collector Medals; free Raid passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, special 7km Eggs, and access to six Special Trades during the event’s first day.
