While Spotify is great for finding music from artists you love, and even discovering new tunes, there’s nothing like seeing a live music concert. Spotify is rolling out a great new way to help discover upcoming concerts in your area.
Say Hello to the Concerts Near You Playlist
You can now access the Concerts Near You Playlist on Spotify. As the name suggests, the playlist highlights songs from artists performing nearby. Just search for “concerts” on Spotify to see the playlist.
The playlist is updated every Wednesday with 30 songs from artists performing nearby. Along with the music, you can see full event details and even ticket links directly from the expandable track rows. As a nice touch, the playlist and info is sharable, so you can make plans together with friends.
To verify you’ll be able to see the correct playlist, confirm your location is correct in the Live Events section of the Spotify app.
I took a look at my Concerts Near You playlist, and it was very well-designed and easy to scroll through. While it showcased some of my favorite artists that I knew had concert dates in my city, I also saw some other music I will definitely have to check out.
