The Rev-8 is finally here to revolutionizeStarfieldandplayers are quickly learning that the buggy does more than simply speed up planetside exploration. Having a set of wheels certainly makes navigating the various barren landscapes much more entertaining but it won’t take long for drivers to ponder what else the intergalactic car can do. Fortunately for everyone, theStarfieldcommunity was quick to test some of the more popular theories and the results are exciting, hilarious, and reminiscent of an open-world classic.
Posting to X (formerly Twitter), userPoweredbyidTechshared a clip of theirStarfieldcharacter calling the Rev-8 into action on New Atlantis, the largest city inStarfieldthat’s swimming with NPCs.Quipping that players “can goGTA,” they demonstrate the buggy’s effectiveness at running through crowds, sending people flying everywhere as the city security does its best to stop the rampage before it goes too far. It’s certainly a fun discovery and it’s good to see that Bethesda is aware enough of its audience to allow such chaos to unfold naturally.

The Rev-8 Is A Real Game-Changing
Giving Fans What They Want
The addition of the Rev-8 inStarfieldhas been a long time coming as fans have requested a land-based vehicle since the game launched just over a year ago. The buggy fixes one of the biggest issues with the game:Exploring barren planets is now significantly more fun, especially on worlds with low gravity. It also speeds up the process given that before Update 1.13.61, users had to trek to every point of interest, making exploration a tedious chore.
The Rev-8 was undoubtedly the biggest addition inStarfield’s latest patch but the update did feature another major feature that shouldn’t be overlooked:Performance settings for Xbox Series S.Those players on the smaller console can now setStarfieldto prioritize Performance or Visuals, an option that was previously only available on Xbox Series X. Series S users can now also turn VSync on and off while also setting a framerate target to ensure some kind of consistency.

Despite its rocky launch, Bethesda is determined to turnStarfieldaround. While updates are infrequent, whenever a new patch is released it usually introduces a much-requested mechanic or feature that fundamentally improves the game. With a functional map, Creations, and now the Rev-8, the studio can focus on deliveringa quality expansion inShattered Space.
