Though a lot of focus is being put on the upcoming final season ofThe Boys, the latest news confirmstwo new cast members have joinedVought Rising. Fleshing out a cast that already includes Aya Cash and Jensen Ackles,Will Hochman (Blue Bloods) has been tapped to play an as-yet-unnamed role. Likewise,EuphoriaalumElizabeth Posey will also appear in the upcoming spinoff. It has also been reported that the spinoff is aiming to film later in 2025, but no exact details have been announced.

A Prequel To The Boys Is Coming Soon
During the panel forThe Boysat 2024’s San Diego Comic-Con, the show’s creators not only teased what was in store for the main series, but also announced a prequel spinoff.Vought Risingis officially in developmentfrom producers Paul Grellong and Eric Kripke, the latter of whom is responsible for bringing the entire franchise to the small screen in the first place.Grellong is set to be the showrunner for the upcoming prequel, which will be a co-production between Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
The Boysseason 5 is slated to arrive in 2026.
Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, and Michaela Starr are all attached as producers as well, and they make up many of the minds behind the main series. Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash are set to reprise their roles as Soldier Boy and Stormfront, respectively.
Kripke hyped up the series when appearing at the SDCC panel, saying:

Stormfront & Soldier Boy Return In The Prequel
Though there are few details about the prequel revealed yet, the announcement at SDCC also came with the reveal that two recognizable supes fromThe Boyswould be front and center inVought Rising. First, it was confirmed that Jensen Ackles will be on hand to reprise his role as early American superhero, Soldier Boy, and he’ll be joined by Aya Cash as Stormfront (also known as Clara Vought). It’s unclear if any other returning supes will make an appearance, though the show will likely introduce a host of newcomers.
The cast has grown with the addition ofBlue Bloodsstar Will Hochman, but nothing is known about who he’ll be playing just yet. Futhermore, Elizabeth Posey (Euphoria) will also play an as-yet-unannounced character inVought Rising.
