He was determined to get her back, but Alex saw through his act. She knew he was only pretending to change to avoid losing her. Alex was done with the relationship for good and returned home.
Meanwhile, Kyle and Ani didn’t fare any better. Their relationship had been hanging by a thread amid arguments about Kyle’s sperm donation. Ani was disgusted by the accusation and relieved to end the relationship.
Shawn And Alliya Continue To Be On Different Pages Regarding Their Future
Shawn Is Insincere In His Support For Alliya’s Transition
Shawn and Alliya were at one point the most promising couple of the season. Shawn started the season struggling to accept Alliya’s gender transition, but he came around and was able to let go of the person he’d been in love with before. Shawn met Alliya’s family for the first time and proposed to her the same night. While their engagement appeared to set them on the right path, Alliya revealed soon after that Shawn refused to be monogamous. Shawn was hesitant to break things off with his other partner, citing the long-distance nature of his relationship with Alliya.
Shawn later joined Alliya at a consultation with a plastic surgeon, and he had some concerns. He was afraid he might not be as attracted to Alliya if a future procedure made her look more feminine. Shawn’s reservations about Alliya’s surgery prove that he’s not fully invested in their relationship. He was aware that she intended to continue her transition, yet even after proposing, he was not on board with her changing her appearance. Shawn and Alliya have little chance at a successful marriage, considering he does not completely support her transition and she is still doubtful about his fidelity.
