NCIS: Origins episode 14 completely ignored the show’s best story from episode 13 and I am disappointed that it still hasn’t been addressed.

Despite their separation happening inNCIS: Originsepisode 13, it is not until episode 15 that the fallout of their relationship is finally addressed. In “From The Ashes,“theNCIS: Originsteam investigates a case that is eerily similar to Tish’s. When Franks realizes the similarities, he explains his conflict of interest and assigns the case to Lala instead. After some bureaucratic back and forth between suspects and agencies, Tish’s perpetrator is finally caught and arrested. It should be happy news, but it acts as an ending.

When Tish learns that her attacker has been caught, she knows she can finally leave. She and Franks both have closure now, so they can both put the case behind them, even though it hurts. The final moments ofNCIS: Originsepisode 15 sees Tish leaving Los Angeles, potentially for good. Tish and Franks still love each other, but the broken trust is too big to ignore, so she decides to physically distance herself from him.

There Is Still A Small Chance

WhileTish and Franks' breakup inNCIS: Originsseems permanent, it does not mean that they will never reunite again. In an interview withCinemaBlend, Kyle Schmid revealed in the aftermath of “Monsoon,” that Franks “knows, even as Tish is walking out the door, that it’s not over. That story is not done.“NCIS: Originsepisode 15 may have provided closure for Tish and Franks' relationship, but their story might not be fully over yet, as the characters' love for each other could lead to something more.

If the writers can not changeNCIScanon, then the least they can do is delay the pain of Franks' breakup with Tish inNCIS: Origins.Franks and Tish’s relationshipcan still end on a good note if they are given a chance.
