Will Bronte Finally Be The One To Give Beck Justice?

You Season 5 May Finally Give Joe What He Deserves

With this kind of symmetry at play, it makes sense that Brewer’s Bronte will likely become the latest target of Joe’s unseemly compulsions, given that she shares much in common with his season 1 love interest.

From the various story details that have already emerged aboutYouseason 5, it seems thatthe show intends to come full circle for its impending conclusion. Not only is Joe returning to New York City, the setting in which audiences first met his character, but he now finds himself the owner of the same bookstore where he met his season 1 love interest/victim, Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail). Moreover, he has finally been able to cast his various pseudonyms from previous seasons aside, and once again operate under his original name.

With this kind of symmetry at play, it makes sense that Brewer’s Bronte will likely become thelatest target of Joe’s unseemly compulsions, given that she shares much in common with his season 1 love interest. Not only is her character described as an aspiring writer, much like Beck was, but her official description suggests that her love of literature “stokes in [Joe] a nostalgia for his former self.” Yet withthe expectation Joe will finally meet justicein the coming season, Bronte could potentially be the perfect one to deliver it.

Even thoughJoe has his fair share of enemieswho would be bent on exacting their own vengeance, including Tati Gabrielle’s Marianne and John Stamos’ Dr. Nicky Reynolds, Bronte could potentially become the most poetic choice. Not only would it finally allow one of Joe’s ill-fated love interests to turn the tables, but in some ways, it could also represent his season 1 victim reaching out from beyond the grave to set things right. At this stage, however, audiences will need to wait untilYouseason 5 arrives on Netflix to learn how Joe finally gets his comeuppance.

Youseason 5 has no official release date, though it is expected to arrive in late 2024.
